Thirty high school Explorers have been recruited, and each new member has been issued an official uniform. Explorer Post events include the GEMS Annual Award Ceremony, ambulance ride-alongs (with parental consent) for Explorers age 16 and up, CPR instructor training, and participation in non-transport standbys, parades, fundraisers, and drills.
